St Marys Chamber Choir Membership Form Sept 2024

Have you ever sat in the audience during a performance of Handel’s ‘Messiah’ and thought to yourself, ‘I wish I was singing up there’? Have you ever listened to a piece as magical as Mozart’s ‘Requiem’ on Classic FM and wondered if you could take part in music-making like that.

Well……..you can!

If singing is your New Year’s Resolution, don’t let another year pass by without doing something about it, and don’t be one of those millions of adults who regret never taking part in anything musical – read on…….

It may seem daunting joining a new club, society or group as an adult – we wonder whether we will enjoy it or of we will be accepted by existing members. With St Mary’s Chamber Choir you absolutely don’t need to worry.

We are a really friendly, sociable group of people who enjoy singing and making music together. You can be assured of a warm welcome – all you need to do is turn up!

Previous experience of singing is useful, but we welcome beginners and those who haven’t really sung properly before. We have all levels of ability in the choir – so don’t feel intimidated if you want to just ‘have a go’ for the first time. We supply learning CDs for those who would like them, so don’t worry too much if you can’t read music very well.

We do not audition new members (so that isn’t an excuse for not coming!),

We rehearse for approximately 12 weeks on a Saturday Morning from 10am till 11.30am at St Mary’s Church, East Castle Street, Bridgnorth. We only rehearse from January – Good Friday Easter (Concert) and September – first week in December (Concert), with the occasional other concerts during the year depending on availability and commitment. All members try to make it to the rehearsals a few minutes early so that we make a prompt start at 10am.

We always want to welcome new members to the Choir, so come and join in our passion and fun. You won’t regret it!
